I wanted to share a bit of a different post today, and tell you about my makeup goals for 2019! Last week I shared my personal goals, and this week I want to share some of the makeup and beauty goals that I have!
Test of all my lipsticks. If you didn’t know this already, I’m a self-proclaimed lip product hoarder. I love all sorts of stuff that goes on my lips and I have just piles and piles of it. I’m not sure if I can possibly test all of my lipsticks, but this year I’m going to really try! This will hopefully help me find new favorites, and get rid of the ones I don’t love.
Start to review more makeup. This is a goal that I’m already starting, and I’m so excited! I began testing my makeup in December, and you’ll start getting reviews after this post. I’ll likely be a lot of lipstick, since as you can tell by my first goal, it’s my favorite makeup item. I’m hoping that sharing my reviews will help you all decide what’s worth buying as well!
Use up 65 products. This year, I want to make it a point to use the items I have up as more come in! 65 sounds kind of random, but I got the number based on my Ipsy subscriptions, and I’m counting December 2018 through December 2019. Five products a month times 13 is 65! This includes body care, hair care, skincare and makeup. This will help me both use up my stash and encourage me to test more things!
Wear the makeup I have more often. I do a great job of buying makeup, and not wearing it! Along with my goal of testing my lipsticks, I want to wear makeup more than I do currently. I own all sorts of makeup, and just don’t use it, which is such a shame! This should also help with my use up goal.
Learn to take better pictures for the blog/Instagram. I know, this is definitely a little left field compared to the rest of my goals. However, since I’m mostly photographing beauty products, it counts to me! I want to start taking pictures that are more interesting, better composed, edited better, etc. I want to make my Instagram feed look more cohesive than it does right now!
As you can tell, each of my goals builds up on each other, which is definitely done on purpose. I wanted to choose goals that wouldn’t require me to change my current routine too much, and keep me motivated throughout the year!
